Road Network

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAt Azuri, sustainability also means how we move. To make travel safer and smoother, a new roundabout and secure access have been built at the village entrance, an investment of around 41 million rupees. A junction once prone to accidents, congestion, and uncontrolled entries is now calm and easy to navigate. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTraffic flows better within the village and along the main Roches Noires road, improving access for residents, visitors, and service partners. Queues are shorter and emissions from idling engines are lower, supporting safer and more sustainable mobility. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Basins and Bioswales for Better Water Management<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSince 2012, Azuri\u2019s master plan has evolved to embrace nature-based solutions. Designed with Atelier LD and SJPCE, the stormwater framework launched in 2024 favours absorption and infiltration over traditional concrete pipes and buried networks. A kilometre of roadside bioswales, together with a bioretention area, turns rainwater into a resource. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLinked to natural drainage lines, these features guide runoff, recharge the water table, and reduce flooding, erosion, and pollutants reaching the ocean. This innovative blue-green network also eases heat build-up, improves airflow, and, in the dry season, doubles as parks and gardens people can enjoy.
