The 14th edition of IBL on the Move brought together 1,338 participants for a day where sport, solidarity and purpose came together in meaningful ways.  <\/p>\n\n<p>More than just a sporting event, IBL on the Move has grown into a national platform that champions inclusion, health and community engagement. This year\u2019s edition placed a strong focus on supporting <strong>APEIM<\/strong> and its social enterprise Callithea, dedicated to empowering young adults with intellectual disabilities through professional integration. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A community moving together for a cause<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n<p>From early morning, Azuri welcomed a vibrant mix of runners, cyclists, families, collaborators and partners, all united by a shared goal: making a difference. <\/p>\n\n<p>Participants took part in a variety of activities including: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 km and 12 km races <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A triathlon <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A 40 km mountain bike race <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Beyond performance, the event embodied something deeper: a spirit of togetherness, inclusion and solidarity. <\/p>\n\n<p>A particularly moving highlight was the participation of 10 beneficiaries from APEIM alongside 10 children from the Nou Zenfan Bois Marchand school, who joined the 6 km race thanks to the support of Bloomage. Their presence reflected the true essence of the event: creating space for everyone to belong and participate.  <br\/> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Supporting inclusion through real impact<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n<p>Through registration fees and the support of committed sponsors, this year\u2019s edition raised MUR 1 million to support the development of Callithea. <\/p>\n\n<p>More than a caf\u00e9, Callithea is a social enterprise with purpose. It provides young adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to develop professional skills and transition into the workforce with confidence.  <\/p>\n\n<p>As highlighted by Claire Coulier, Head of Communications at IBL: <br\/>\u201cThis edition brought together a remarkable number of people around values of inclusion and solidarity. It is a strong reminder of what we can achieve when we move together.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p>Echoing this, Timothy Nootoo, Project Manager at APEIM, emphasised the broader impact of the initiative: <br\/>\u201cCallithea helps bridge the gap between skills development and real employment opportunities, while also changing the way society looks at intellectual disability.\u201d <br\/> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Azuri: a natural setting for meaningful experiences<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n<p>As host venue, Azuri Village once again proved to be more than just a location. It is a place where community and purpose naturally come to life.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With its open spaces, coastal setting and integrated lifestyle, Azuri offers the ideal environment for <a href=\"https:\/\/azuri.mu\/en\/azuri-village-a-year-2025-shaped-by-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">events<\/a> that bring people together. Whether through sport, culture or social initiatives, it continues to foster connections that go beyond everyday living.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A shared commitment to a better tomorrow<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n<p>Organised annually by IBL since 2013, IBL on the Move continues to support a different NGO each year through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationjosephlagesse.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fondation Joseph Lagesse<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<p>This 2026 edition was made possible thanks to the support of key partners and sponsors including Afrasia, Crystal, DTOS, Eagle Insurance, UBP, BrandActiv, Starbalm, CMH, Malta and Azuri Smart City Company Ltd. <\/p>\n\n<p>More than a single day event, IBL on the Move is a reminder that collective action can create lasting impact, and that inclusion starts when communities come together. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday 18 April 2026, Azuri Village once again became the heart of a powerful collective movement.
