The sky may have been grey, but the mood at Azuri certainly wasn’t. On Saturday 30 May 2026, the village came alive for its Mother’s Day Market, a warm and bustling celebration that drew crowds, despite the rain, for one of the friendliest events on the northeast coast this season. <\/p>\n\n

Running from 3pm to 8:30pm, the market proved that the Sundowner spirit doesn’t need sunshine to shine. Families wandered between stalls in the afternoon, then settled in as the lights came on and the music played into the evening. With Mother’s Day falling the very next day, Sunday 31 May, the timing made it the perfect outing to treat, or simply spend time with, the mums in everyone’s life. <\/p>\n\n

A great atmosphere, rain and all<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

If there’s one thing this edition proved, it’s that a little weather is no match for a good crowd. The rain came and went through the afternoon, but it barely made a dent in the energy. Visitors kept coming, stalls stayed busy, and the overall feeling was one of those easy, convivial gatherings<\/a> that Azuri has become known for. By every measure, it was an event people genuinely enjoyed, and one many will remember fondly. <\/p>\n\n

73 exhibitors, including fresh new faces<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

This year’s market was the biggest draw yet for makers and small businesses, with 73 exhibitors setting up across the village. Encouragingly, several were taking part for the first time, a sign that Azuri’s markets are becoming a sought-after spot for local artisans, producers and entrepreneurs to showcase what they do. <\/p>\n\n
