On 19 September 2026, the Azuri Golf Tournament marks its very first edition on the course at The Nine, in Azuri Village. This charity golf tournament puts sport at the service of a solidarity-driven ambition: to raise MUR 1,000,000 for two Mauritian NGOs, Étoile de Mer and Anou Grandi. Here, sporting performance and social commitment go hand in hand, at the heart of the Azuri Smart City.
A tournament that plays for two causes
From its very first edition, the Azuri Golf Tournament asserts a strong charitable purpose. 80% of sponsorship and participation contributions will go to two Mauritian associations, with a collective target of MUR 1,000,000 shared equally between them. Two causes chosen for their concrete, measurable impact within local communities.
Étoile de Mer

Azuri is proud to support Étoile de Mer, a local community programme that helps vulnerable children and families through educational, social and human-development initiatives. Working directly within communities, the organisation opens up access to education, guidance and psychosocial support for children from fragile backgrounds, giving them a stable footing and the confidence to build their future. Like many grassroots initiatives, its ability to grow depends heavily on backing such as ours.
Anou Grandi

Founded by parents of children with disabilities, Anou Grandi turns disability into ability through specialised education and empowerment programmes. The association supports more than 70 students with tailored education, vocational training and therapeutic services such as occupational therapy and psychological support. These programmes play a decisive role in the independence, employability and lasting inclusion of young people in Mauritian society. Supporting this event is not simply sponsoring a tournament, it is contributing to concrete social impact.
A premier gathering for Mauritian business leaders
The Azuri Golf Tournament brings together 36 business leaders and senior executives from across the island, alongside the event's sponsors and partners. By uniting decision-makers around a shared passion and a shared cause, it establishes itself from the outset as a flagship annual event for the Azuri brand. Far more than a competition, this first edition creates a rare platform where leadership, lifestyle and commitment come together naturally.
The Nine, an award-winning course and a format built for sharing

The tournament is played at The Nine, the first 9-hole par-3 course in Mauritius, designed by IMG and managed by The Golf Company. Twice named World's Best Par 3 Golf Course, in 2023 and 2025, it is completed in 90 minutes and owes its signature to a ninth hole inspired by the iconic 17th at TPC Sawgrass, set against a backdrop of river, lagoon and tropical greenery.
Played as a fourball alliance with the two best scores counting on each hole, the competition allows up to three tee shots per player, while a nearest-the-pin challenge is held on every hole. The day continues at Rivazur, Azuri's beachfront Mediterranean restaurant, where competition gives way to conviviality.
An event powered by its partners
The Azuri Golf Tournament would not be possible without the commitment of its partners, who associate their brand with a premium event while supporting a charitable cause. Azuri warmly thanks them for their trust.

Sport and solidarity, in equal measure
By combining the pleasure of the game with a charitable commitment, the Azuri Golf Tournament reflects a simple conviction: sport can bring leaders together, strengthen bonds and generate tangible impact for the Mauritian community. A first edition that places solidarity on the same footing as performance and gives Étoile de Mer and Anou Grandi the means to continue their mission with young people.
